Keith Murray is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He started his career with the Valuation Office where he dealt with all aspects of compulsory purchase and compensation advice; primarily advising local authorities and government departments. He subsequently worked at the VO head office as a specialist valuer dealing with development land tax, capital gains tax and capital transfer tax.

For twelve years he was a partner with Edwin Hill in charge of the Specialist Services Department responsible for advising clients in connection with compulsory purchase and compensation.

In 2000 he set up Keith Murray Associates to provide a specialist service in compulsory purchase and compensation with a personal approach.

Keith is also:

• An accredited lecturer to The Law Society on compensation for compulsory purchase.
• Past examiner for both the RICS and the former ISVA on local and national taxation.
• Qualified to prepare Instructions for Direct Access to counsel in property litigation matters.
• Accredited Mediator
